Perhaps the world is moving faster or I am moving slower - or maybe a bit of both - but another year has sped by so very quickly. This has been a very poignant year for many of our congregants. We have faced many challenges and sorrows, as well as having enjoyed many simchas together. Throughout it all, I am proud to say that we have lived up to our pledge to be there for each other.
For those who may not yet know, I am pleased to report that the Kiever is now fully air-conditioned and we have installed chair-lifts to assist those who might have difficulty with our stairs. We have also further enhanced the security and appearance of the building both inside and out with an amazing garden and beautiful new porcelain stone flooring in our now bright and airy social hall.
I am also delighted to say that our “hidden gem” is being rediscovered and we are beginning to experience exciting membership growth with new congregants joining us seemingly every week now. Most recently, a whole new group of young adults, couples and families have started coming to the Kiever. All of my long-standing friends and colleagues extend a warm welcome to our newcomers!
Yes, these again are times of prayer and hope at the Kiever and you are once again invited to participate in shaping our future together. We have a cherished heritage and some momentous times ahead. With reverence for our past and a vision toward our future I invite you to join us as we continue forward together.
Please feel free to call on myself or Cantor Menashe Solomon at (416) 593-9702 anytime... or even better, please stop by for a visit!
With best wishes for a happy, healthy, prosperous new year, I remain
Yours truly,
David Pinkus
President
